By combining magnetic induction for steel surfaces with eddy current technology for non-ferrous materials such as aluminum, copper, and brass, the CTN-230 automatically identifies the substrate and applies the appropriate measurement method, ensuring consistent and reliable results across a wide range of applications.
Designed with real-world inspection environments in mind, the CTN-230 delivers excellent repeatability and measurement stability, even when used in demanding industrial settings. Its fast response time allows users to take rapid spot checks or continuous measurements, making it ideal for high-throughput inspection workflows where efficiency is critical. Whether verifying paint thickness on automotive panels, checking plating layers in manufacturing, or ensuring proper corrosion protection coatings, the CTN-230 provides dependable performance with minimal setup.
The unit features a clear, easy-to-read digital display that presents measurement values in real time, along with intuitive controls that reduce the learning curve for new users. Its ergonomic handheld design ensures comfortable operation during extended use, while the rugged housing protects the instrument from everyday wear in field and shop environments.
Calibration is straightforward, allowing users to maintain accuracy across different materials and coating ranges. The CTN-230 supports both single and continuous measurement modes, giving operators flexibility depending on the inspection task. Its compact size and rechargeable power system make it a highly portable solution for technicians who need reliable coating thickness measurements on-site or across multiple locations.
Overall, the BRK CTN-230 offers a well-balanced combination of precision, speed, and ease of use, making it an excellent choice for quality control professionals, inspectors, and maintenance teams who require consistent coating measurements without the complexity or cost of more advanced systems.
