The MG500 is a 3 range (DC500V/250V/125V) digital insulation tester that features hot-line state detection, a large backlit display with bar graph and a tough, built-in carry case.
This device is used to measure the insulation resistance of a power line and power equipment within the range of 600V under CAT III. It has a safe design compliant with the IEC 61010-1 rating. The MG1000 also features a lock-down cover that functions as a dust-proof and splash-proof IP54 rated carry case.
The MG500 has a large 4200 count LCD display with backlight. It uses the average value method for AC signal sensing and has a sampling rate of 2 samples per second. The device has an auto range feature for automatically adjusting the range of the parameter being measured. It also has auto hold function for pausing a measurement automatically on the screen.
This device is also capable of measuring AC and DC voltages (600 Volts MAX). It can also perform continuity test and has a buzzer alarm feature. The MG500 comes with test leads, and an ST-50 strap.
