Turbidity Meters

Turbidity is a key indicator of water quality, measuring the cloudiness caused by suspended and colloidal particles such as sediment, silt, microorganisms and organic matter.

Even when these materials are not visible individually, they can scatter light and reduce water clarity. Monitoring turbidity can help identify changes in filtration performance, treatment effectiveness, process conditions, and overall water quality.

Accurate turbidity measurement is important in drinking-water analysis, environmental monitoring, wastewater treatment, industrial processing, beverage production, petrochemical operations, aquaculture and electroplating. Regular testing helps operators detect abnormal conditions, confirm that treatment processes are working properly and maintain consistent quality.

Sper Scientific turbidity meters provide fast, reliable measurements in the laboratory or field. Portable models make it easy to test samples at remote sites or throughout a facility, while straightforward controls and clear digital displays support efficient routine testing. Depending on the model, features may include automatic ranging, multiple measurement units, calibration functions, data storage, and supplied standards or sample vials.

Available Sper Scientific models support recognized turbidity-testing requirements, including EPA Method 180.1 and ISO 7027-1. Because these methods use different light sources and optical configurations, select a meter that matches the standard required for your application.
