The lessons continually learned from hurricanes are still unfolding, but we have one that will help when another natural disaster strikes.
As we learned many systems that businesses use to monitor their important environments such as refrigerators and freezers in restaurants, cafeterias, and medical facilities lost power. When this happened, several customers told us the systems they use to track the temperatures also failed since they relied on electrical power as well.
A simple precaution is a min/max thermometer that does not rely on power. At Sper Scientific, we have two models that are ideal for this use: 736680 and 736690.
These thermometers can be placed in the refrigerator or freezer and can visually show the minimum and maximum temperature. This way you know if contents have been compromised.
